It would be helpful if carats were allowed in F&R. For example, it's much easier to search for "exhibit ^#" to find all instances of the word exhibit followed by any number than to have to search just the word exhibit or type each number individually.
Ex: to find accidental single spaces after a period, it's easy to type ".^w^?" in the find search bar.
